Locating real estate in Poland

Our firm checks the legal status of real-estate assets in Poland for clients holding details about assets and property owned by their relatives prior to or following the Second World War. The work includes: locating the property’s registration in the Polish Real Estate books, verifying in whose name the property is registered, verifying whether it was nationalized by the Polish Government, estimating its present value and the chances of restoring the property to its original owners or their heirs.

When appropriate, we take the legal steps necessary for registering the property under the name of the legal owners or their heirs, including issuing an Order of Probate in Poland.

The Polish Parliament is debating a Bill that will lay down regulations concerning compensation for property in Poland that was nationalized during or following the Second World War.

After the fall of the Communist Government in Poland, a period of rapid economic development began, which has accelerated since joined the European Union. This economic activity has led to a sharp increase in real estate prices in Poland.
